Tropidelic just released new music for the first time this year! And the latest single, “Out There,” was well worth the wait. Chill and groovy, this tune has a big sound with a catchy melody leading you into the chorus. It is sure to have you playing it on repeat. This single represents the start of the next phase for Tropidelic. A wide range of influences and genres have been represented throughout their career, and the path forward represents a continuation of their evolution. Never focused on trying to fit into a singular definition, Tropidelic’s music continues to and but it is an ever-evolving moving target. Tropidelic is excited for everyone to hear “Out There” and what else is to come.
When asked about the backstory behind the writing of this single, Drummer Rex Larkman explained: “It started at a soundcheck. It felt natural and the rhythm and key parts came together easy. We played through it a lot and had fun with it. The writing process was smooth and we were excited about it. The fact that it’s out in the world feels great!” Rex also shared that experimenting with different types of percussion instruments played a big role in the creation of this single.
